ALLEN, Texas - After a successful weekend at NCWA National's, the University of Maine and Husson University wrestling teams are struggling to get home.

Both teams were scheduled to fly into Boston Monday, but the impending snowstorm has left them stranded in Allen, Texas. Neither program is officially fully supported financially by their respective university, and because of such, the trips are often funded by money the teams raise.

"We raise every penny, and we try so hard not to, we try to earn the money not ask for it and put our hand out," Aaron James, one of Maine's coaches, said Monday. "Actually, this is the first year that the wrestlers had to pay part of their ticket to get to Texas."

The teams have opened up a GoFundMe page, where people can contribute to help cover costs of getting them home plus additional expenses like food and hotels. James said they are hoping to raise around $2,000.

If you would like to donate to the cause, their campaign can be found here.
