BANGOR - Husson men's basketball has been tabbed No. 1 in the NAC preseason poll once again.

Something that has become a formality for the Eagles.

The defending NAC champions return a talented core including guard Raheem Anderson who was recently named a preseason third team All-American.

The Eagles are primed to make another run at the NAC title and it all starts this Saturday in the teams regular season opener against St. Josephs.

Head coach Warren Caruso says the team doesn't put stock into the poll, but they do realize that it puts a target on their back.

"So its bit of an expectation that we're near the top of it so we're honored that we're unanimously picked number one but it also puts a little pressure on us to say hey this is the standard and we gotta be ready to face that challenge that's going to be coming at us every night," Caruso said.

Below is the NAC preseason poll:

No. 1 - Husson 100 (10)

No. 2 - Colby-Sawyer 79

No. 3 - Castleton 66

No. 3 - Thomas 66

No. 5 - Lyndon 57

No. 6 - UMaine-Farmington 55

No. 7 - New England College 45

No. 8 Johnson  39

No. 9 Green Mountain 27

No. 10 Maine Maritime 16
