NORRIDGEWOCK – A New Balance employee was seriously injured when he was hit by a car while crossing the street on his way to work Tuesday morning.
According to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 6:10 a.m. on Depot Street in Norridgewock, in front of the New Balance building.
Gary Wallace, 55, of Wilton was crossing the street, when another New Balance employee, 45-year-old Patricia Powers of Canaan, hit Wallace with her vehicle.
Wallace was taken to Central Maine Medical Center via Life Flight with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Powers was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
