BANGOR — For the second consecutive year, UCP of Maine will host its Pumpkins in the Park event digitally.
Pumpkins in the Park began Friday and will run through Oct. 30.
It’s normally an indoor trick-or-treating event, but due to the pandemic, will be run through Facebook this year and will include activities like scavenger hunts, Halloween trivia, and pumpkin carving contests.
Pumpkins in the Park is UCP of Maine’s biggest fundraiser.
Each day will be sponsored by a different business and will have a different activity for participants to complete.
“With this being our 19th annual Pumpkins in the Park, next year is our 20th annual, so we’re really hoping to be back in person next year to really make that one the biggest one yet,” said UCP of Maine Community Relations Manager Andrew Lohman.
UCP of Maine is a nonprofit organization committed to helping children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities.
