BOWDOINHAM – An Orono man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Bowdoinham over the weekend.
According to a post on the State Police Facebook page, authorities stopped a vehicle driven by 28-year old Terrel Walker.
Walker is originally from New York, and now lives in Orono.
During a search of the vehicle, police say they found more than 15 pounds of marijuana, valued at approximately 30-thousand dollars, as well as $2,000 in cash, and a large amount of unmarked and unlabeled pills.
A laboratory analysis is underway to identify the types of pills seized.
According to police, Walker also had an outstanding federal arrest warrant related to a drug trafficking arrest by State Police from August.
Walker was arrested and charged with Class C unlawful trafficking of marijuana and Class C bail violation.
Police say Walker’s passenger, 25-year old Eimel Evans of Augusta, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
