BANGOR — A large tractor-trailer knocked out power to traffic lights at the intersection of Griffin Road and Union Street in Bangor this afternoon after attempting to make a sharp right turn on Griffin Road.
Assistant Public Works Director for the city of Bangor Steve Smith said trucks of this size are usually able to get through this intersection.
He said the truck driver made an error by not making a wide enough turn, and the truck was stuck under the light for two hours.
“It won’t be much of an issue until tomorrow when traffic picks up for the work week, but they will be working on it tomorrow morning,” said Smith.
Smith said cars should get through safely until crew is out there in the morning.
