CLIFTON — Maine State Police arrested two people Monday in connection with an alleged burglary in Clifton.
According to a state police spokeswoman, troopers were called to the Clifton General Store shortly before 11 a.m. Monday to investigate a suspicious vehicle. While they were at the store, a police dog led them to a nearby home that had been burglarized.
Police arrested the man and the woman who were in the vehicle that initiated the investigation. The spokeswoman said 34-year-old Jessica Sinclair of Franklin and 29-year-old Neil Brown of Mount Vernon were charged with burglary and theft. The pair was taken to Penobscot County Jail.
