ST. ALBANS – A family in St. Albans lost their home in a fire Thursday evening.
According to St. Albans Fire Chief Jason Emery, crews were called to a home on Palmyra Road around 6:30 p.m. for a structure fire.
Two adults and a 7-month-old child live in the house. We’re told all were able to get out safely.
Authorities say the home is a total loss.
Chief Emery told us the fire started in the child’s bedroom, but the exact cause is still under investigation.
The Red Cross has been contacted.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the family as well.
