TRENTON – The SPCA of Hancock County is still accepting returnable bottles and cans to help offset their annual veterinary costs.
On Feb. 27, SPCA officials held their monthly bottle drive with people either dropping off bags of bottles or SPCA workers going out to collect them.
“We’d like to get as many as possible. Last year we did $30,000 in our bottle drive. Our goal is to get $40,000 this year,” said Rhonda Agaman, the service manager of the Hancock County SPCA.
She added in 2020, veterinary care costs exceeded $75,000.
If you have bottles to donate, drop them off at the shelter’s location at 141 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton.
