BANGOR — More than half the Mainers who are eligible have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
As far as those who haven’t been, health officials believe there are some people experiencing vaccine hesitancy.
“What I say to those people is you need to reach out to a reliable informed source,” said Northern Light Health spokesman Dr. James Jarvis.
“For many people, that’s going to be their primary care provider. It may also be a health system. It may be a trusted member in the community. But whoever it is make sure they know the science and the facts so they can help you so you can make the best informed decision.
Jarvis said because of the increased number of coronavirus variants, people will likely need vaccination booster shots.
