GREENBUSH — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that happened in Greenbush Monday morning.
Sheriff Troy Morton said the crash happened just after 8 a.m. on Route 2 near the Milford town line.
According to Morton, a car drifted off the right side of the road, hit a utility pole, and broke it before landing in about two feet of water in a bog.
Morton said four people were in the vehicle. They were a 24-year-old man from Millinocket, a 36-year-old woman from Greenbush, a 27-year-old woman from Milford, and a 29-year-old man from Old Town.
It was reported one of the men was ejected from the vehicle and pinned under it.
The road was shut down for several hours to allow for a reconstruction of the crash and utility repair.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
