SEARSPORT – Searsport District High School will hold its first-ever Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular Concert on Tuesday of next week.
The concert is a fundraiser with a goal of $15,000 for an all-expense-paid trip to New York City in April for 30 lucky students to see a Broadway play.
“Most of my students just would not ever have an opportunity to go see a Broadway play. One of the things about this particular musical is that it’s based in a high school and it deals with issues these students deal with on a day in day out basis,” said Music Director Victoria Cox.
The event will not only feature the band and chorus performance. It also will include trick or treating, a raffle contest for best pumpkin carvings and a bake sale.
