BANGOR – The Salvation Army had its annual “Fill-a-Truck” event on Saturday.
Salvation Army vans were outside Walmart stores in Bangor, Brewer and Ellsworth to collect donations throughout the day with hopes of creating a better Christmas for children in need.
“We do that to help kids in need. Their parents come to us in need of Christmas gifts and we want to make that happen for children who want to have Christmas,” said Brandi Larcomb, a Salvation Army caseworker and receptionist.
Anyone who missed the truck can drop off gift donations off at the office on South Park Street.
