MILO — The roof of a Main Street building collapsed Monday afternoon, according to a local official.
Milo Police Chief Nick Clukey said the building at 68 Main St. formerly housed the Masonic Lodge.
With the recent fluctuations in weather, the heavy snow, rain, and ice took their toll on the roof, and at around 3 p.m., it collapsed into the second floor of the building.
Everyone inside at the time was able to get out safely and all are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
Power and water were shut off to the building, and areas surrounding the building have been cordoned for the public’s safety.
