EAST MILLINOCKET — A routine traffic stop ended with a Pittsfield man facing drug charges.
According to a post on the East Millinocket Police Department’s Facebook page, Sgt. Gary Lakeman stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on the Medway Road about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
James McMillan, 39, was a passenger in the vehicle.
According to police, a search of McMillan and where McMillan was in the vehicle turned up more than 4 grams of methamphetamine.
Officers also found several items of drug paraphernalia, suspected heroin and several non-prescribed pills.
McMillan is facing several charges, including unlawful furnishing of drugs and unlawful possession of drugs.
He is scheduled to appear in court in April.
