BREWER — A person associated with Brewer High School has tested positive for COVID-19.
That’s according to a letter Brewer school Superintendent Gregg Palmer sent to faculty and families Wednesday.
He said the staff and parents were notified to be on the safe side.
Palmer’s letter states the person did not have direct contact with students. He said since the period of time the person was most likely infected, there was limited contact with the infected person and the school staff.
Palmer said an investigation was conducted and it was determined the school would remain open Thursday. Palmer did not say what role the infected person had at the high school.
The superintendent also said anyone having had close contact with the infected person has been identified and interviewed.
