GUILFORD – The Piscataquis Community High School graduation will be held the same day President Trump plans on visiting Guilford.
MSAD 4 Superintendent Kelly MacFayden said graduation plans are still on.
MacFayden said they plan to have a social distancing graduation — drive-in style — for this year’s 40 graduating seniors.
And while the school is aware of the president’s visit to Puritan Medical Products just down the road, school officials said they hope everything runs smoothly.
“We will do whatever we can to support what’s happening on Friday. I’m hoping that people will be respectful of our graduation and it won’t impact us in a negative way,” MacFayden said.
The superintendent said if need be, they will make alternative plans for the graduation.
The Piscataquis County sheriff said he has spoken with organizers about protests planned for Friday in Guilford.
