BANGOR/DOVER-FOXCROFT — Partners For Peace is asking the community to help survivors in their residential program to have a happy and joyful holiday season.
Partners For Peace is launching the ‘Be a Light Holiday Program’ to provide gifts to adult and children survivors of abuse.
The non-profit organization is collecting Amazon and Walmart gift cards to give survivors a chance to do their own holiday shopping.
Partners for Peace Director of Development and Engagement Casey Faulkingham said their goal is to raise over $5,000 worth of gift cards.
“We have a lot of folks in need, who are not able to make ends meet this holiday season,” said Faulkingham. “We know the holidays can be expensive, and they can be stressful, so we are looking to take away some of that stress and our community can be a part of that.”
Faulkingham said every adult and child can receive four $25 gift cards each.
She said the gift cards for the holiday program must be received by Wednesday, December 1.
