BREWER — The city of Brewer celebrated its new outdoor fitness park today.
The equipment was made possible with the help of a donation from Machias Savings Bank.
This development will feature various pieces of workout equipment from step-up platforms, to Swedish ladders and pull-up bars.
The park will be accessible to 20 people at a time and include a descriptive sign with a scannable QR code that will feature various pieces of workout equipment.
“There is a coordination between physical fitness and exercise and the growth and prosperity of a community, and anytime we can promote that and help the city of brewer or any community grow both physically, financially and as a whole, we are on board with it and we are very happy to be a part of that project,” said Dean Clark Senior VP, regional manager.
The fitness park is now officially open to the public and can be found at the Veteran’s Park.
