ORONO — The Orono Public Library is turning a new page and welcoming people back for in-person browsing.
People now can browse and check out items from the library for 30 minutes from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Only 10 visitors are allowed in the library at a time.
Library Director Laurie Carpenter said the community is excited to see the library returning to normal.
“We’ve been challenged throughout the year providing services in a new and different way,” she said. “Had to get a way to get books and other things to patrons without letting them through the doors.”
Carpenter said a walk-up window will be available for people.
If those times are inconvenient, after-hours lockers will be provided for people to pick up their requested books from 5-10 p.m on Tuesdays through Saturdays.
