BANGOR — Northern Light Health’s vaccination effort is expanding thanks to an uptick in vaccine supply.
That’s the word from the healthcare organization’s spokesman.
Dr. James Jarvis said the World Health Organization said due to an increase in the vaccine supply, Northern Light is now able to open up the Cross Insurance Center for an extra day this week and next.
“Our process is when a person registers for a vaccination, the first and second doses are reserved for that individual. When you sign up, you are actually signing up for two doses,” Jarvis said.
Jarvis also responded to claims mass vaccination efforts are generating profits.
He said when all costs are included, they are actually losing money, but it is their job to keep people safe.
