BANGOR — Husson University is recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month with Hispanic photojournalist Saul Flores at the campus of New England School of Communications.
Saul Flores’ work has been recognized by NPR as well as MSNBC and TED talks featured on YouTube. He said he started documenting the Latinx community at the age of 18 and his journey began from there.
“The project that I guess I speak the most about is a project called the ‘Walk of the Immigrants’ which is a 10-mile country walk that I made to pretty much-raising awareness for this special journey that people make to reach the United States,” said Saul Flores, a Latin photojournalist.
Flores said he wants to continue to make a social impact by visiting schools and share the projects he’s worked on. To exhibit some of the extreme conditions Flores has captured on camera you can check out more of his work at different locations online.
