HAMPDEN — Members of the Municipal Review Committee held a board of directors meeting to update the public on where they stand with the sale of the former Coast Resources of Maine trash facility.
As of now, the facility is scheduled to be sold from facility bondholders to Pennsylvania-based Delta Thermo Energy, with the help of the Municipal Review Committee.
In the meeting, Municipal Review Committee Executive Director Michael Carrol said he is still waiting for official word from Delta Thermo Energy of when the deal will be completed.
“All three parties, bondholders, trustees, and DTE and MRC, have finalized negotiations. The documents required for this size transaction were massive undertaken to ensure everything was covered,” Carroll said.
Delta Thermo Energy CEO Rob Van Naarden will update the public with more details of the Hampden facility during the MRC Members’ Virtual Town Hall Meeting.
That meeting will be on MRC’s Facebook Page on August 5 at 11 a.m.
