BANGOR — Northern Light Health’s community vaccine clinics need more volunteers.
They are looking for service organization members, workplace teams, retirees, and others who are interested in helping out the clinics.
According to Stacey Coventry, the clinic’s volunteer director, each day the clinic uses 70 to 100 volunteers and as the vaccine supply and demand grows, the need for volunteers does as well.
“We have a need for both clinical and non-clinical volunteers, right now our biggest need is clinical so if there are any retired nurses or doctors in the area, wanting to get involved and give back if they have active licensure, we are willing to get them all trained and ready to go to help put shots in arms,” Coventry said.
Anyone interested in becoming a community vaccination clinic volunteer can register online at Northern Light Health’s website.
