PITTSFIELD — One person was injured in an early morning fire Friday on North Main Street, according to officials.
Officials said crews were called to 304 North Main St. around 1:30 a.m.
A caller told police the home was on fire and people were trapped inside.
Officials said police officers were in the area and were the first to arrive.
They were able to get all six people out of the building.
A 34-year-old man told police he heard a bang in the attic area and attempted to put out the fire himself.
He received burns on his hands and other parts of his body.
Officials said he was treated at Sebasticook Valley Hospital and then taken to a Portland hospital for further treatment.
