Man accused of breaking fire station windows

BANGOR – A Bangor man has been arrested for allegedly breaking windows at Central Fire Station.

David Bileau, 55, is charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and violation of condition of release.

According to Bangor police Sgt. Wade Betters, police were called to the fire station on Main Street at 1 a.m Friday.

Betters said the responding officer saw Bileau punch out one of the fire station’s garage door windows.

In total, six windows were damaged.

Betters said Bileau allegedly was belligerent and cursed at the officer as well as a firefighter who stepped outside to help.

According to Betters, alcohol was a factor.
