AUGUSTA (WGME) – Snowmobilers from across New England came out for the 23rd annual Maine Snowmobile Show.
The Augusta Civic Center was packed with brand new sleds, gear, clothing, accessories and businesses.
There were safety training sessions and an array of antique snowmobiles were on display.
Maine Snowmobile Association Executive Director Bob Myers said now comes the vigil.
“We’re waiting for that first snow and as soon as it comes, our clubs are already working with landowners and brushing trails and putting signs up — we’ll be ready to rip as soon as the snow comes,” he said.
Meyers said crews have been out properly signing trails to make sure it’s safe for riders once that first snowfall hits.
