STATEWIDE — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday that 54 more cases of COVID-19 have been reported around the state but that the statewide death toll held at 891.
The new cases pushed the total number of coronavirus cases since March of last year to 69,834, according to an update posted on the Maine CDC’s website.
To date, 2,117 Mainers have been hospitalized due to COVID-19.
As of Thursday, 25 people were hospitalized, 14 of them in critical care and six on ventilators.
Also as of Thursday, 1,564,582 COVID-19 vaccines had been administered. Of those, 759,188 were first doses and 805,394 were final doses.
