AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Saturday that 41 more cases of COVID-19 have been reported around the state and there are no new deaths.
According to state health officials, the new coronavirus cases bring the statewide total since March of last year to 68,794.
The statewide death toll remains at 854.
The latest Maine CDC COVID-19 statistics show 2,062 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
As of Saturday, 30 people were hospitalized due to COVID-19. Of those, 15 were being cared for in intensive care while seven people were on ventilators.
Also as of Friday, 1,501,369 Mainers had been vaccinated, with 737,221 having received their first dose and 764,148 having had their final dose.
