BANGOR — At the start of the pandemic, some Mainers put their hands-on skills to the test.
The engineers and scientists used what they knew best to respond to the COVID-19 virus.
In the four part series that starts this week, it will highlight those people and their organizations. Kate Dickerson, founder of the Maine Science Festival created four forums that will highlight what some people created.
“Each week has a theme, the first one we’re gonna talk about, is what is COVID-19. The second week we’re going to talk about is how some of Maine’s bio science companies stepped up to address the COVID-19 pandemic. So we’ve got representatives from Idexx, Abbott, and Jackson Laboratory,” said Dickerson.
Dickerson said for people who are interested in the forums and want to be a part of the conversation you can sign up at mainesciencefestival.org
The weekly forums will be held every Tuesday for the rest of the month.
