STATEWIDE (WGME) — This year’s Maine Maple Fall Fest will be held on Oct. 9 and 10, according to the Maine Maple Producers Association.
Maple sugar producers will host events all over the state as part of the festival.
Many of the attractions are similar to what would be seen on Maine Maple Sunday, like tours of maple syrup production facilities.
“It’s a lot of the farm-to-table aspect of it, meeting the person who is providing the food and seeing the process of what actually goes into it and how it is the healthier option when it comes to sweeteners,” said Scott Dunn, the association’s president.
Because of COVID-19, maple sugar producers are adjusting events with safety in mind.
For those hesitant about being in a crowd, they are also offering curbside pickup of their products.
