STATEWIDE — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday that 106 more cases of COVID-19 have been reported around the state and that four more Mainers have died after contracting the illness, bringing the statewide death toll to 891.
The new cases pushed the total number of coronavirus cases since March of last year to 69,780, according to an update posted on the Maine CDC’s website.
To date, 2,113 Mainers have been hospitalized due to COVID-19.
As of Wednesday, 25 people were hospitalized, 14 of them in critical care and five on ventilators.
Also as of Wednesday, 1,562,711 COVID-19 vaccines had been administered. Of those, 758,185 were first doses and 804,526 were final doses.
