AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Wednesday that another 38 cases of COVID-19 have been reported, bringing the total to date to 6,027 but that the number of coronavirus-related deaths so far remained at 146.
Of the total cases counted in Maine so far, 646 were considered probable and 637 were considered active, Maine CDC posted on its website.
The latest CDC COVID-19 statistics show 5,244 people have recovered from the virus since it hit Maine in mid-March, while a total of 470 people have required hospitalization to treat the virus.
So far, more than 563,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted around the state, according to the Maine CDC.
