BUCKSPORT – Main Street Bucksport has created a virtual scavenger hunt designed to support businesses and keep the community connected.
Participants are asked to complete 15 tasks. The list includes things like donate to a food pantry, read a book, pay for someone’s coffee, donate to a charity.
Each person who completes the entire scavenger hunt by April 22 will be entered into a drawing to win $25. Four of the cash prizes will be given away.
“When all of our local businesses had to shut down or change the way they were operating, we were just looking for ideas to try to encourage community support, both of the businesses community but also just of one another,” Brook Miner, executive director for Main Street Bucksport, said of the scavenger hunt.
Participants are asked to take pictures of their tasks and submit them to the Main Street Bucksport Facebook page.
The drawings will be held on April 23.
