BANGOR — A Levant man is facing multiple charges following an incident in Bangor Wednesday morning.
According to Sgt. Wade Betters of the Bangor Police Department, officers responded to a reported assault on West Broadway around 11:45 a.m.
When officers arrived, the homeowner, who was also the victim, told police he didn’t know his attacker.
Betters said the man who was later identified as 34-year-old Lance Bradford was asked to leave the home several times and refused.
According to Betters, there was a struggle and that’s when Bradford allegedly assaulted the victim.
Police said the homeowner was able to escape to a neighbor’s home and called 911.
Police later located Bradford at a building at the intersection of Pier Street and West Broadway, where he crawled out a second-story window, onto the roof, and attempted to jump to the next building.
Bradford didn’t make the jump and officers on the ground placed him under arrest.
Bradford was charged with two counts of burglary, criminal mischief, and assault.
He is currently being held at Penobscot County Jail.
