WINDHAM (WGME) — A fight involving multiple people Monday night resulted in one of them being shot, according to Windham police.
The incident happened shortly before 9 p.m. at 15 Main St. Police investigating said the shooting was isolated and there is no threat to the public.
“We’re still trying to determine what the nature and the cause of the altercation was,” said Chief Kevin Schofield of the Windham Police Department.
“We don’t have any reason to believe the general public is at risk. This is a specific incident involving specific individuals,” he said.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
There had been no word of any charges as of Tuesday afternoon.
