AUGUSTA — The Kennebec County grand jury has indicted more than 50 people.
Among them is a man from Clinton who was arrested in January after leading police on a foot chase that left one officer injured.
Police said 60-year-old James Simonson was wanted for failure to appear in court in connection with a drug charge.
When they tried to arrest him, there was a struggle and a foot chase as Simonson escaped custody.
He was indicted on a variety of charges, including unlawful possession of drugs, refusing to submit to arrest, and violation of conditions of release.
A man accused of robbing an Augusta McDonald’s was also indicted.
Police said 26-year-old Eric Bachand of Augusta went into the restaurant on Nov. 12 of last year and demanded money.
Bachand was stopped by people outside who prevented him from leaving the scene.
One person was injured in the incident.
Bachand was indicted on charges of robbery, assault, criminal mischief, and theft by unauthorized taking.
