KENDUSKEAG – The fire chief in Kenduskeag says a truck with four people inside crashed into a utility pole Monday night.
It happened around 9:45 p.m. on Townhouse Road, according to Chief Dakota Bartlett of the Kenduskeag Fire Department.
Bartlett says there were initial reports that the vehicle was on fire, but it was extinguished quickly by the first arriving engine.
“Three patients were transported,” Chief Bartlett said. “One patient signed off here with medical personnel. We don’t believe that any of the injuries were life-threatening at this time.”
A portion of the road was shut down as authorities worked to remove the downed power lines.
Kenduskeag firefighters were assisted on scene by Levant Fire and Rescue, Glenburn EMS and Northern Light Medical Transport.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
