STATEWIDE- In response to the coronavirus outbreak, the inmate population across the state is decreasing.
There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Department of Corrections, according to a statement released by Commissioner Randall Liberty.
However, to continue to keep inmates and corrections officials safe, 29 adults have been released from prisons statewide into supervised community confinement.
As well 12 detained youth have been released and five committed youth have been released.
By April 10, 27 additional adults are scheduled to be approved for supervised community confinement and four committed youth are scheduled to be released.
