BANGOR — More than 800 undergrads, graduate, and doctorate students were awarded degrees with the first in-person graduation ceremony in more than a year.
The school’s president said for the special day to happen, each graduate was limited to two guests and they had to have on masks at all times.
Also instead of it being indoors at the Cross Insurance Center, it was outside on the school’s baseball field.
But through all of that, the ceremony went off without a hitch.
“We know that it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience for students. We know that their hard academic work here at Husson has brought them to this point. It is that culmination that transitions to their life experience and professional preparation which is Husson’s aim,” said Bob Clark, the school’s president.
