BANGOR – Employees at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center are doing their part to make sure kids stay warm during the colder months.
A wooden tree has been set up to collect mittens and hats for pediatric patients and people in need in the community.
The items range from brand new to those created by staff at the hospital.
“We have really generous staff. We know that our community has needs and it gets cold in Maine. We look out for our kids and make sure that they have something that they can go outside and play with,” said Ali Worster, vice president for Human Resources.
All are welcome to hang something on the tree, which is located in the main cafe.
