ELLSWORTH – What has become a Christmas time tradition in Ellsworth kicked off again this weekend.
The 4th Holiday Marketplace reopened in the former JB Atlantic building on Main Street.
There are half a dozen businesses, selling everything from candles to kid’s toys to 3D maps of Maine.
Organizers with Heart of Ellsworth said it’s part of an effort to bring more people downtown during the holidays.
“What we do with Heart of Ellsworth is we try to revitalize the downtown and we’ve been very successful having this Christmas market here,” said Peter Lione, the creative director for Heart of Ellsworth.
The Holiday Marketplace is open mornings and afternoons, Thursday through Sunday. And they will be open on Christmas Eve.
