BANGOR – The Hill House has been decorated for the holidays.
The Bangor Historical Society has opened it to the public for the last five years in what Executive Director Michael Melochick said has become a holiday tradition.
“Each year we choose a different theme,” Melochick said. “This year it’s ‘The Nutcracker’ so each of our five rooms will be decorated according to that theme. Our guests will be invited to come through the house, visit each room and then vote on their favorite.”
Holidays at the Hill House kicks off Thursday with a preview night.
Historical society members can attend from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It opens to the general public from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. that night.
The Hill House will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays through Christmas.
