BLUE HILL — One person is dead and two more injured after a two-car collision.
According to officials from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old Richard Goodwin of Stonington died at the scene of the crash Monday afternoon.
Deputies said Goodwin had crossed the centerline on the Ellsworth Road near the Blue Hill-Surry Transfer Station.
He then collided head-on with a truck driven by 47-year-old William Webb, who was traveling with 45-year-old Doris Webb, both of Blue Hill.
Hancock County law enforcement officials confirmed William Webb had non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to Northern Light Maine Memorial Hospital, while Doris Webb had serious injures and also was taken to Northern Light Maine Coast Memorial for treatment.
