ELLSWORTH — Members from the Hancock County United Bikers of Maine organization were outside collecting donations for their back-to-school drive.
Throughout the day donations of notebooks, backpacks, pencils, pens, and other necessary school supplies piled in.
The motorcycle club’s director said all the donations will go to the Downeast Community Partners, which will give them to Hancock County families in need.
“Obviously times are tough for a lot of people. So this is something we’ve been working on with Downeast Community Partners. This is obviously a big need in this area. A lot of people hurting,” said Robbie Perkins, county director for Hancock County United Bikers of Maine.
