BANGOR — The Green Acres Kennel Shop will be hosting its 13th annual fundraiser to help seniors who cannot afford to buy food for their pets.
They’re accepting donations until Dec. 31 and all the proceeds will go toward purchasing pet food and cat litter to be donated to the Eastern Area Agency on Aging Furry Friends Food Bank.
The owner of Green Acres Kennel Shop said they already raised $1,200 and their goal is $5,000.
“The need keeps growing. With the pandemic, there has been a bigger need this year and by doing this, we really help get the food out there,” said Don Hanson, co-owner of Green Acres Kennel Shop.
To donate, you can stop by the kennel located on Union street or visit their website.
