BANGOR – Dozens were indicted by the Penobscot County Grand jury Wednesday, many on drug charges and domestic violence crimes.
Among those formally charged was a Bangor man accused of trying to kill a woman at a home on Westland Street.
Joshua McAuliffe, 40, was arrested for the alleged stabbing back in September.
He’s charged with attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Prosecutors say McAuliffe had threatened to kill the victim before, and reportedly told her if he can’t have her, no one will.
A judge set his bail at $100,000 cash.
