PROSPECT – If you’re looking for a scare this Halloween season, Fright at the Fort in Prospect has begun.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Fright at the Fort, a haunted house that takes you through a civil war era fort.
Because they’re celebrating a big milestone, a worker said they’re hoping to make it the best year yet.
The director said last year the event brought in thousands of more people than they’ve had in the past.
“The first night is always sets the tone for the rest of the season. We have a lot of new stuff this year so we’re hoping that we get a lot of people that come tonight and maybe come again one of our next weekends,” said Amanda Curry, Friends at Fort Knox.
The tour takes you through different parts of the fort each with their own theme. Some include a Pet Sematary area, clowns, aliens, zombies and more.
“If you’re not somebody that likes to be touched by scary things we don’t touch anyone. It’s up to your discretion on age,” Curry said.
“There is no age limit but we do have a lot of people who find it too scary and some people who find it not scary enough but it’s all up to who you are personally but it should be fun for all ages,” she said.
Fright at the Fort runs on Fridays and Saturdays in October.
