BANGOR — Federal, state and local law enforcement officers are investigating a fire bombing that happened in Bangor Wednesday night.
According to a statement from the chief of the Bangor Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, shortly before 9 p.m. a tenant in a French Street apartment reported somebody had thrown something at her apartment.
He said an investigation concluded a combustible device was thrown at the building. Bangor police Lt. Brent Beaulieu said Bangor firefighters were able to quickly douse the fire, which he said caused minor damage.
According to Beaulieu, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the state fire marshal’s office are assisting with the investigation.
