BANGOR – More than 250 vendors and thousands of people filled the Bangor Mall over the weekend for a free craft fair.
The vendors filled every available space at the mall, offering everything from chainsaw carvings to snowplow-resistant mailboxes and much more.
Organizers said they did not charge vendors to participate.
“‘Cause we’re trying to teach people please shop your locals first. Bless our community and it will come back to bless you, which I’m hearing [is that] all the restaurants have been busy. All the hotels have been busy. I know all the Bangor Mall stores have been busy,” said Cathy Harvey, owner of Furniture Mattress and More.
Harvey estimated at least 20,000 people came out for the show.
